Designer Jen Christiansen has worked as a designer and assistant art director for both National Geographic and Scientific American.  Her education at Smith College and the University of California combined science with illustration and graphic design. Her strengths lie in understanding, interpreting, and communicating content visually, whether it be conveying a complex concept or process through information graphics, helping a reader navigate through a page, or setting a particular tone with type and images. Designer Carla Rozman has trained in graphic design at SUNY New Paltz, at the Lacoste School of the Arts in France, and at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She has worked as a designer and art director for publishers, advertising agencies, and design studios in New York City and upstate New York. Writer Laura Harrison McBride has written for more than 30 years, publishing thousands of newspaper and magazine articles, some of them award winners, and writing 14 books, including the FabJob Guide to Become a Personal Shopper, Teaching Your Horse to Overcome Fears, and The Unofficial Guide to Surviving Y2K and Beyond. McBride lives in the U.K. and is a member of the British Society of Authors.
