Wordfirm Inc. sometimes seeks highly qualified freelance writers, editors, copyeditors, proofreaders, and indexers. We don't currently have a need for new freelancers, but if you apply, your information goes into a database that we will search when needed for appropriate applicants.

Applicants must be completely equipped to handle work through the Internet, working in a quiet, professional home office. We are only interested in professional, highly skilled writers and editors with at least three years of practical experience.

• Your resume as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF file
• Two professional references
• Notations on areas of technical expertise
• For copyeditors and proofreaders: style manuals used and titles of publications copyedited
• For substantive editors: citations to significant work
• For writers: citations to all published work and links to samples on the Web, if available
• For indexers: citations to books indexed
